I have such fond memories of standing as a little girl in my grandmother's and mother's kitchens. Watching them roll out pastry dough for their scrumptious pies and the "most perfect" sugar cookies always seemed quite heavenly to me. They would always allow me to have my own little spot at their table, my own clump of dough and of course more flour than I usually needed. The smell of baked goodies in the oven were almost more than a waiting taste bud could handle. I also enjoyed wearing the cute aprons that of course matched theirs.
Today I am the mother of three children ages 23, 22 and 19. I have baked many a pie and more sugar cookies than I care to count, but for some reason my time in my own kitchen has never felt as "special" as those times from my childhood memories.
Due to my dream and passion for recreating those special memories for my own children and children growing up in todays times, I have created a bakery of my own where the play never ends and the kitchen mess - well there isn't any!
My fabric bakery opened in the Fall of 2007 with the creation of my fabric cakes and has since escalated to any type of food imaginable. If I can find the correct colors of fabric and felt and I have a needle and thread at hand, you can find me in my sewing room making cookies, cupcakes and other felt treats by the dozen. I always have a pot of tea available. There is always time for a quiet cup of tea, even when you are "baking" goodies galore. Questions
